Ofsted Inspections .
Inspection is at the heart of the government's drive for high quality public services and helps to ensure that the users and providers of public services have the information they need. Ofsted use evidence to advise on approaches to caring for and supporting children and on the effectiveness of different types of educational provision. Ofsted also assess the progress of particular initiatives and government strategies.
We are inspected and regulated by Ofsted, all our staff are checked by the Criminal Records Bureau in accordance with the Children’s Act 1989. On our last inspection we achieved an overall good in all areas during our Ofsted inspection.
95 % of our staff hold relevant childcare qualifications and the remaining staff will be working towards their childcare qualification. All our staff receives regular training to ensure high quality childcare is provided throughout the nursery.

Our Quality Programme
A quality assurance programme is essential to the success of any business. To make a difference, good quality practice must be adopted by management, room supervisors and instilled within an organisation's culture. Quality is not just about implementing a system or working towards a set standard. It is an attitude, a way of working, which not only improves service but also enhances the way people work and live".
At Little Oaks Nurseries we will adopt a Quality Programme which will examine and continuously improve the way we do things. Setting targets, measuring service and rewarding staff performance will be at the heart of everything we do. If we can retain motivated and skilled staff, this will have positive benefits for your children, staff, parents and everyone within our setting.
Our programme will be based around best practices appropriate to the childcare sector and will include the following:
- QUILT (Quality in Learning and Teaching) in conjunction with the Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership.
- TQM (Total Quality Management) based around the experience brought to the nursery by Roy Nightingale, Jo Dennett, Emma Brooks (maternity leave), Laura Tyson, Katrina Bristow, and Eleanor Gould.
- Ongoing staff training.
As a nursery owner, manager, nursery worker or as a parent or child, a quality accreditation scheme has far reaching benefits.
